winter outerwear

I need to get ds a winter one-piece (are they called buntings?)  A lot of you have the cute teddy bear ones.  I don't know what size to get. Do I try to get one that will last all winter, or will I need to get 2?

What size is dc in now and what size winter outerwear did you buy?

    i have the dark brown carters fleecey teddy bear one.  i love it.  i have it in 9 months, and that's the biggest i could find.  i wanted a 12 month, but i haven't been able to find it and am starting to think they don't exist.  i just wanted it bigger because it goes over DS clothes.  the 9 month is still a little big, but i don't think it's going to last him all winter.....

    We didn't buy any winter outerwear except a hat and mitts. DS gets hot quick so we have to layer. He wears regular clothes, mitts, hat, blanket and car seat cover.

    I've seen them called bunting some places and coveralls other places.  Potato, potahtoh. 

    I bought a really cute ralph lauren one at marshall's.  It is corduroy on the outside with a warm insulated flannel lining on the inside.  I got it on clearance last year for like $10.  You might check marshall's or tj maxx for a good deal.  

    It is in his current size (9 mos), but I worry about his outgrowing it and will get another one if I need to.  BTW, I am only planning to use it when he is physically outside, not in the car seat.   I think they have too much padding to use safely in the carseat.
