STILL moderately TERRIBLE pain in tailbone?

Hello!

 

On May 7th I had a natural vaginal birth.  Everything has been healing fine except for this pain I believe in my tailbone area.  It used to hurt MUCH worse-- could not sit down straight and it was really painful to get up or sit down-- basically the change of pressure was unbearable.  Now, it is still painful but not quite as bad.  But I still wince every time I sit or stand....  Does anyone have anything similar?  I have not been to my 6 week appointment yet-- I go on Monday.  :(

    It sounds like u may have broken your tailbone during delivery. I did this with my oldest dd and it took months to heal, I would say for almost the first yr I had pain when sitting or rocking motion who's standing . Ask your dr for sure.

    Yes- I def feel like this may be the case.  Is your pain completely gone?  I am starting to worry that I will have this pain for my whole LIFE- hah.

    I broke/dislocated mine with DS and it was still hurting a little when DD was born, 18 months later.  Mine was so bad that I couldn't stand up on my own for a good two weeks.  I got cortisone injections and those helped a little.  You may want to try a donut pillow.  I ended up making a pillow and that helped since it took the pressure off of my tailbone.  There is also the possibility of having a dr manipulate it back in place (I'll pass)  The pain did lessen with time and I'm no worse now than before DD was born. It's much more of a bearable pain now.

    I have this also.  It gets bad if I sit in the same seat for like longer than 20 minutes or go for a car ride of any significance.  Plus, if I walk a lot.  I had fractured my pelvis a few years back, and I was thinking I did something during birth to re-injur it.  who knows, but I am going to mention it to my Dr at my 6 week appt, which is next Friday.
