DS LOVES yogurt, but I was buying the yobaby and he'd go through two of those in one sitting, so they're not very practical. But I tried to buy adult yogurt to give him and it's all non-fat, low-fat, or fat free. The ONLY whole milk yogurt I could find him was Stoneyfield Vanilla, and I feel bad cause he likes all the flavors.
What do you do for yogurt? He's above average for height and weight, would it be bad to give him a non-fat yogurt?
Re: Yogurt for 11 month old? Question on type
Bar tab = $156,000, Bus to Foxwoods = $0, Puking in the Stanley Cup = Priceless
Same here. With the twins they could eat yobaby all day. I finally found the whole milk Stoneyfield Plain tub at Target. To mix up the flavors I just add defrosted organic frozen fruit: strawberries, peaches, blueberries, etc or fresh if on sale. They love it all the same and it's way cheaper. I'm sure adding the fruit to the vanilla would be just as good. I've also given them the reg yogurt when I haven't had the chance to get to Target...I'm sure it won't hurt as long as he's getting other forms of dairy throughout the day.

Thanks for this post my son has also fallen in love with yobaby. I was about to go to costo or bj's and buy a case
One question is it ok for a child to eat yogurt everymorning? my son has for days now?
Thanks sorry to jump on your thread
I have found whole milk plain yogurt at Trader Joe's, and then I tried to blend that and frozen fruits. It was a liquid disaster. Came out totally soupy. Once we finished with that, I just went ahead and bought Yoplait. It's still got a ton of fat and calories, so even though it's not whole milk, I doubt it's a big deal.
And to the person who asked about feeding it every morning, I think that's fine as long as your baby tolerates it. We have 1 serving every day. One day we did 2 servings, and she got sick that night. Could have been a coincidence, but we're introducing daily a bit slower now.
Fat free yogurt isn't necessarily bad, but they do need fat on a regular basis for brain development through the age of two.
Try adding flavors to the vanilla with diced fruits or purees. You can ever flavor it with some spices (cinnamon, nutmeg, etc...) Sometimes I even crush up/pulverize in the processor, cereal bars, graham crackers, or oatmeal and mix it in because we're always looking for ways to add extra calories to DS's foods.
