We are getting the City Mini to use around bumpy sidewalks and some paved park trails, but won't be jogging or going on unpaved trails. It is not actually a jogging stroller. If you're looking for some that are, check out the BOB Ironman, Jeep Overland Limited, Schwinn or other similar strollers. If you read that a stroller shouldn't be used for jogging, don't. They aren't made for that purpose.
I have the City Select and wouldn't run with it either - its just not a jog stroller. That being said, I wanted a jog stroller so I went with the BOB sport utility. Its less expensive than the revolution and the biggest thing you loose is the front wheel swivel option. Since I'm going to use it for jogging it wasn't a huge deal for me.
Proud Mom to the ZooCrew - Jack 3 years old and Joey 21 months.
Excited and delighted to welcome the 3rd member of the ZooCrew in 2015! We can't wait to meet you Matthew Henry!
If you are a frequent runner, you won't want it. There is a difference between an all terrain stroller and a jogging stroller (and if you run a lot, it will drive you nuts). People ask me all the time how I like my Phil and Teds Sport for running - I wouldn't. The "Sport" is that it's all terrain. I bought my Chariot for running. There are lots of true jogging strollers out there, I would highly suggest trying them out at the store (even jogging up and down the aisles). Find one that fits your stride and feels right when you push it, there should be no effort.
That being said, I'm drooling over P&T's sub4 right now, but I don't need it. If you are looking at the Baby Jogger brand, I would go with the FIT, Performance or Switchback. Out of the BOB brand, I'd go with the Ironman. From the Mountain Buggy brand I'd go with the Terrain. And that's the short list.
