With my last pregnancy, I obsessed SO MUCH about whether I was having a boy or a girl. I couldn't wait to find out. I thought I'd be more zen about it this time around, but I'm not. I can't wait to get to that 20w scan!

So since it's on my mind, here's a GTKY poll:

1. Are you Team Green or Finding Out? Undecided - DH wants to find out but keep it a secret, and there is no way I can keep that secret if I find out!!!!

2. I know all we really want is a healthy baby (or two!), but do you secretly, or not-so-secretly, have a preference? Torn. This is our first and we definitely would like one of each, and I lean towards a boy first b/c older brothers and younger sisters tend to get along better than the other way around, I think. But two of my female cousins who I was really tight with growing up (there are 4 of us within 2 years age of each other) just had girls (one in late Dec and one in April) and I know most of the family kind of wants to see "the next generation" of close girl cousins happen. I would love that too And if we were only able to have one gender, for me I would want girls.

3. Does your SO have a preference? Yes! He really wants a boy, to carry on the family name Stick out tongue

2. I know all we really want is a healthy baby (or two!), but do you secretly, or not-so-secretly, have a preference? I am actually a lot less antsy than I was the first time. If I had a preference, it would be another boy for DS. We aren't finished having kids, so 2 boys first would be great.

3. Does your SO have a preference? He is scared of having a girl someday.

4. Do you have any other kids? And if so, did you find out with them? DS will be 2 in September. We found out with him.

5. Do you have an inkling about what you're having? Not really, but I didn't the first time either. Hmm, if I had to guess I would guess BOY. It's all I know and can compare it to

For the longest time I was scared of them, since I never babysat them nor had any baby boys around. But the more I think about it, the more I like the idea of having a boy first to give DH added help with any future girls

3. Does your SO have a preference? I think he wants a boy. He really wants to be able to coach football and teach him all about sports.

5. Do you have an inkling about what you're having? I think it is a boy. I have had no m/s. so i am basing it off of that. but i really have no clue.

2. I know all we really want is a healthy baby (or two!), but do you secretly, or not-so-secretly, have a preference? I thinkDh and I would be overjoyed to have another boy so H can have a brother. But a girl would be a new welcomed adventure!

3. Does your SO have a preference? He really wants a boy, same as the first time.

4. Do you have any other kids? And if so, did you find out with them? We have a son, we found out at the ant scan at 18 w and we both cried happy tears. Funny enough we had both absently chose blue to wear that day and the u/s tech pointed it out.

I honestly don't. Last time around I very secretly (I barely even admitted it to myself!) wanted a girl, which is what we got. This time around, I feel like it would be great to have another girl because we have so much girl stuff! And I'd love for DD to have a sister, because I didn't and always wanted one. But I think it would be neat to also have a boy, since this might be our last kid and boys are so fun! 3. Does your SO have a preference? No. He feels pretty much the same way I do.4. Do you have any other kids? And if so, did you find out with them? Sure did! I have a daughter.5. Do you have an inkling about what you're having? Okay, so this is silly, BUT. My friends hired a psychic for my bachelorette party. The psychic told me I'd be having a baby girl within about a year an a half, followed by two boys. I didn't buy it because I was really not ready for kids yet at the time, but by our one-year anniversary I was not only ready, I was pregnant with DD! So now I can't shake the feeling that this one will be a boy... even though I keep having dreams that it's a girl. So I guess my point is that I have no idea. Haha!

3. Does your SO have a preference? He actually told me he hopes we have twins so that we can have a boy and a girl because he doesn't know which he wants more!

4. Do you have any other kids? And if so, did you find out with them?I have a 20 month old and we did not find out. I had them lay her on me so I could be the "first" to find out. I almost forgot to look, I was so excited to finally hold her!

I so wish we had found out but kept it a secret last time. We ended up with SO MUCH girly stuff, especially pink - and I hate pink. I would have much preferred to keep it gender neutral, and even though I tried to let people know that, they bought us mostly pink stuff anyway. Especially the grandparents! I'm not saying we weren't grateful for all the wonderful and generous gifts we received. But I am saying that it would make it a lot easier this time around if we have a boy if most of the stuff we have already wasn't so girly!

Having her the first time around would relieve any pressure, so that would be nice. I think my dream combo is a boy and then a girl, but if I have a boy first I'll be worried about having a 2nd boy. I'm fine with 2 girls, I'd just rather not have 2 boys. That said, with timing, I'm pretty sure this one will end up being a boy, and I'll still be thrilled if he's healthy

5. Do you have an inkling about what you're having? I think it's a boy. We weren't ttc, we were waiting for my hcg to drop after my m/c so we could try again. There's only 1 night that could have possibly led to conception and based on betas and u/s dating, we think I o'd that night or the day before. Only boy swimmers are that fast, so I really think it's going to be a boy.

5. Do you have an inkling about what you're having? My gut says boy and I believe in signs.....our top name choice right now is Jacob. The other day we were at the park and there were twin boys. I heard the Dad say Henry but I wasn't sure that was what he said. Then he started rounding up the other one and he said JACOB! I almost fell over. I asked the Dad if he said Henry and he confirmed it. My DH just sat there shaking his head bc he knows how crazy I am with things like this.

Well I want both and it doesnt really matter much to me which comes first, but I REALLY want a girl, so I guess I'd say I'd rather get that one out of the way first.

He definitely wants a boy..hes a huge sports fanatic/former athlete, so he's ready to have a boy to share that with.

Our 20 wk ultrasound will be the week of our 1 yr anniversary of being married... so we will have the doctor write it on a piece of paper and close it up... and we will open it and find out at dinner on our anniversary date! That is if the baby wants to show us!

Will try to be Team Green this time. This is our last baby and we found out last time so would be interesting to try it the other way.

There are pluses and minuses to either but I'm more leaning toward wanting a girl. This is mainly for the pretty pink dresses lol. Another boy would be great too as DS might be closer with a brother and we have all the clothes he'd ever need.

2. I know all we really want is a healthy baby (or two!), but do you secretly, or not-so-secretly, have a preference? Eventually I would like to have at least one of each, but we plan on having more than 2 children so the chance of that are probably pretty decent... So I guess since we have one daughter, just to get the one of each out of the way a boy would be nice. But I don't think I really have much of a preference.

3. Does your SO have a preference? DH wants a boy, but will be equally happy with another little darling girl.

4. Do you have any other kids? And if so, did you find out with them? We have one daughter, and we did not find out with her. Funny thing is, DH was so in awe simply at the fact of having a baby, he never even bothered to look what she was when she came out, and we had an on call doctor who thought that we knew the gender, so she never even said anything. I kept asking and asking and it took a good 4-5 frantic times of me asking for anyone to answer "It's a girl!"

5. Do you have an inkling about what you're having? Simply because this pregnancy is already very different from my first I think it's a boy - but in no way do I "feel" that it is one or the other.

I am hoping for twins (yes, I know everyone says I am crazy. esp since that will mean I have 3 under 2.) I would love twin boys since we already have a girl but more girls would be great too.

1. Are you Team Green or Finding Out? We will be finding out. I get anxious about everthing and always need to know what is going on.

2. I know all we really want is a healthy baby (or two!), but do you secretly, or not-so-secretly, have a preference? I honestly don't care. I can picture myself with either.

3. Does your SO have a preference? He says that while he would like a son, he thinks he would be a better dad to a girl. I think he will do fine either way, but his sister has girls, so that is just what he knows.

5. Do you have an inkling about what you're having? Well, I will be able to tell more definitively in 1 more week. I did IVF and we put back 2 embryos, so I don't know yet if we are having 1 or 2. My dreams go 2 different ways...I have more dreams that it is two girls. But every once in a while, I have a dream of a little blonde boy and they are much more vivid dreams. If I had to choose what I think it is right now, I would say one little boy...but we shall see!

1. Are you Team Green or Finding Out? I think we are going to find out. I don't want to be disappointed if it's a boy (see next answer) and have that effect my attitude for the whole second half pf my pregnancy.

2. I know all we really want is a healthy baby (or two!), but do you secretly, or not-so-secretly, have a preference? I want a girl...I already have a boy and there is a good chance this will be our last baby. I reeeeeallllly want a girl!!

3. Does your SO have a preference? He wants a boy. He has one younger brother almost the exact same age difference as our kids will be.

4. Do you have any other kids? And if so, did you find out with them? My son will be 2 years old in October. We did not find out his gender. I wanted the surprise and the anticipation. It was important to me that my husband be the first to see/find out after he was born. We always said we'd find out for #2 though....

5. Do you have an inkling about what you're having? I KNEW early on with my son (even though everyone said I was having a girl). I really don't know either way yet. I think it's a girl, but it's probably just my desire for one interfering.

4. Do you have any other kids? And if so, did you find out with them? WE were team green with DS. That is why my DH wants to find out now. I wanted to be suprised.

I do want a boy just because my family is full of girls and I want to experience having a son. 3. Does your SO have a preference? He would love a boy, but says that he thinks this baby might be a girl. 4. Do you have any other kids? And if so, did you find out with them? Yes, I have a daughter, and I found out with her at 20 weeks. Hopefully with this baby, we will find out a month sooner. 5. Do you have an inkling about what you're having? I think it's a boy!!!

I honestly don't. Last time around I very secretly (I barely even admitted it to myself!) wanted a girl, which is what we got. This time around, I feel like it would be great to have another girl because we have so much girl stuff! And I'd love for DD to have a sister, because I didn't and always wanted one. But I think it would be neat to also have a boy, since this might be our last kid and boys are so fun! 3. Does your SO have a preference? No. He feels pretty much the same way I do. 4. Do you have any other kids? And if so, did you find out with them? Sure did! I have a daughter. 5. Do you have an inkling about what you're having? Okay, so this is silly, BUT. My friends hired a psychic for my bachelorette party. The psychic told me I'd be having a baby girl within about a year an a half, followed by two boys. I didn't buy it because I was really not ready for kids yet at the time, but by our one-year anniversary I was not only ready, I was pregnant with DD! So now I can't shake the feeling that this one will be a boy... even though I keep having dreams that it's a girl. So I guess my point is that I have no idea. Haha!
