First, I am so sorry. I had an apartment fire when I was in law school and it was a total loss. Sucked hard. Second, go back through your digital photos and see if you have any that you can use to substantiate and inventory. That will help immeasurably. My insurance was great and cut a check quickly but they also worked with me to keep the claim open as I discovered yet more stuff that either I had forgotten about or that I didn't realize was lost.
Good luck! And I'm glad you are all safe.
Re: **Firsttogo** re: fire
Thanks! We did have the fire marshall back this AM, and he could not find anything that he thinks would have set it, but we did have a bit of mulch in some containers which 'could' have spontaneously combusted. Luckily all that was damaged were outdoor toys, tools, ect.
We did have a few strollers hanging on the wall which smell HORRID now, and That is my biggest concern as I am a stroller whore.... Also, We have a burley d'lite that smells awful too. I hope they can either replace or clean them!
