would you be worried - sick DD

I had an awful 24-hr stomach virus yesterday. DD had diarrhea (9 dirty diapers!) but was acting just fine. I think she probably had the same thing I did but it just presented a little differently in her?

 

She slept pretty well last night. She woke up at 6am but fell asleep in my arms so I put her back down til 7:30am or so when she woke up. I took her to her babysitter's (not our usual routine, sitter usually comes to our house) and she fell asleep immediately on the way. Then when we got there she just seemed out of it. After I left, our sitter put on a movie for her and sat down to snuggle and DD fell asleep again. She just woke up (1 1/2-2 hours later) and is still a little out of it. I told the sitter to let me know if she doesn't get her energy back.

 

Think she's just needing a little extra sleep after being sick? I'm a little worried about her but don't know what I should do exactly.

    Is she drinking fluids? Having regular wet diapers?

    yup, she has chugged a cup of OJ and half of water that i saw before dropping her off and she is having wet diapers. i asked the sitter to still push fluids but i dont believe she's dangerously dehydrated or anything.

    can you just call the pediatrician to see what they think? She's too young for me to be ok with taking any chances. you know...

    crap, why did I think she was 5 months. Anyway, I'd still call the doc.

    good call, xbg. i wasn't thinking to call the pedi really because they had been pretty nonchalant about her diarrhea and she was having wet diapers. i was surprised that the pedi asked me to bring her in. i guess the behavior change was a big deal for them. so i'll be leaving work in an hour to go get her and head to the doctor unless she gets playful and happy and the diarrhea stops (she has had at least one more diarrhea diaper this morning, oops, i thought it was over)
