I've been trying to find a job where I can work weekends since that's the only time my mom can watch my son. Its so hard finding work in such a small area. Its also very stressful just finding places to apply and getting the applications done. Not many places in my area even advertise when they are hiring, yet they seem so annoyed if you ask. I'd prefer to find something that doesn't involve dealing with a lot of people like housekeeping or a kitchen but doesn't look like thats going to happen. I'm certified in food service sanitation and safety and have yet to be able to use it. Its also pointless for me to go back to school because I wouldn't be able to finish my degree in the required amount of credit hours (since they added more pre-reqs) so they would make me go staright for a bachelor's. I just need to find something part-time to make some money since I still won't be getting child support for a while and have another baby on the way. Does anyone else have a part-time job?
Re: trying to find part-time work
Do you have a supporting spouse or are you seeking to support yourself working part time? I am confused.
No offense, but this doesn't sound realistic. What about health insurance? It sounds like you need to get a full time job and possibly on WIC. Going after some one who won't pay child support is a long process. You might ask on the single moms board.

I would just go to the local hotels and apply if you are looking for housekeeping or you could place an ad on craigslist (thats how I found my last housekeeper)-
I noticed your ticker- what's the plan when baby 2 comes?
I have a part time job. Found it on monster.
Other tips: call all the temp agencies in your area and get registered. Go to indeed.com-it will pull jobs off the big boards as well as company sites.
I do think the PP are on the right track that it's probably a better option to get a full time job/childcare assistance though in your situation.
