Other lanolin products?

I am frankly annoyed by how much the Lansinoh stuff costs. I would like to get about three small tubes (one for each nursing "station" in the house and one for the breast pump bag). That's looking like almost 30 bucks. I know from last time that I probably won't go through one tube--much less three.

Has anyone had luck with other lanolin products? Lotion maybe? I even saw a four-pack of pure lanolin chapstick and, I have to admit--I was tempted...seemed so convenient and would keep the mess off your hands.

I'll check back tonight for responses. TIA for any help you can offer!

Re: Other lanolin products?

  • I like the First Years Nipple Butter best.  It's much less sticky and messy (and I think it offers much more releif than the traditional lanolin products) and I was able to get free samples from my pediatrician that I use for my pumping bag.  It's also about $3 a tube cheaper than the lanolin creams.
