Sorry to be a PW, but E is actually napping, so I'm taking full advantage of the computer. We're making our way through the seasons thanks to Netflix, and I forgot how awesome a show it was. So Cosby fans...

Favorite moment: "I brought you into this world...and I can take you OUT!" (my Dad used that line ALL the time)
Favorite Character: Very much an "Oliver"character [see: Brady Bunch] but I always liked Olivia (Raven Simone)
Cringe-worthy: Oh, the sweaters....(anytimeDH wants to stop G from crying, he uses his Cosby voice, works.every.time)
Most memorable Cosby moment didn't really involve the show - my mom was pregnant with my sister, I was 17 years old. She was having contractions but didn't want to scare my step dad (yet) so we were all watching Cosby and my mom would slyly let me know when a contraction started and stopped and I would write them down. I don't remember the episode AT ALL - but my sister was born the next morning...
I also remember knowing that the actress who played Claire Huxtable was pregnant in real life but not on the show so she was always carrying something around to hide her growing tummy!
I loved loved the Cosby Show. There was an early episode where Thoe was picking on the girls and Cliff told Claire 'I have a feeling that boy isn't going to live very long" and if you watch the old Bill Cosby himself standup it was taken from a story he told about his son Ennis and his sisters.Oh course the clothes are horrible now, but I always think of his silk pj and the "bedtime" dance he used to do.
And I side note my dad went to Mt. Tahoma with Bobby Moore, who is now Ahmad Rashad DH to Felicia Rashad. So I'm only like 4 degrees seperated from Bill Cosby
Favorite moment or episode? I love the episode when they "rent" Theo's room to Theo and Cockroach.
And the one where Claire gets her own special home office.
And the one where Cliff and his houseguest play Bocce Ball.
And the one where it is Rudy's bday party and Cliff gives everyone pony rides on his knee, and has a hard time with Peter.
Favorite character? Claire.
Something cringeworthy about the show? (it was the 80s and early 90s after all) Vanessa had some crazy hair-do's and outfits. But that might have to do with my own shame of wearing stirrup pants with slouchy socks.
ETA: We used to listen to Cosby's comedy show on LP for special occassions in music class. I have all my favorites downloaded in my itunes and we listen to them during car rides. Andy often recites "Chocolate Cake for Breakfast".
They've been running Cosby marathons on Centric, yesterday and today, btw! I've been watching for a few hours this morning , even though I have most of the seasons on DVD, too. Big fan!
Favorite moment or episode? Singing with Stevie Wonder!! I also like the lip sync song for the grandparents' anniversary. There are tons more, I'm sure.
Favorite character? Denise... wait, no, probably Cliff.
Something cringeworthy about the show? (it was the 80s and early 90s after all) Vanessa's hair, when she's a little older. And almost everything about Olivia. Completely dislike the addition of her character. I also didn't like the addition of cousin Pam. They'd probably jumped the shark by this point, but I watched until the end b/c the show was strong enough.
It also bothers me a little bit how often they lie on the show, especially Cliff. For a wholesome family, they lie (without consequence) too often.
