So we are flying down to South Carolina tomorrow and it will be Nicholas' first time and our first time flying with a kid. Any last minute tips or suggestions? I plan on bringing our 2 carry on bags, diaper bag (filled with toys, snacks, bottle of milk, etc.) and our medical cooler with his meds. Anything we should know-- oh and we are flying out of Dayton if that makes a difference. TIA!
Re: 1st time flying tomorrow
Online it said that medical equipment doesnt count as a carry on bag, its a "free extra" kinda thing. Plus syringes and needles are allowed since we have a prescription and a dr's note.
I thought you could take formula or breast milk though?
You are allowed formula and Breast milk but be prepared to taste it to prove it isn't explosive! Also TSA in Dayton from my experience are pretty nice,.

When I flew home out of O'hare for work last week, I had at least 25 oz of breast milk, some in containers over 4 oz and it was easy. Just keep any 'medical liquids' including formula/breast milk out and hand it to them before it would go through X-ray and request alternative screening. They take it and inspect it to the side. I think he opened up one bottle of breast milk and looked at it. I didn't have to smell it or taste it, nor should you.
Have a great trip!
