Does sunning work on all stains? Like clothes not just CDs?

I was so impressed by how the sun got all the light stains out of my used NB CDs.  Now I'm wondering does the sun get out all kinds of stains?  Has anyone tried it with clothes?

    i use it on my clothes all the time. it works great!  the only thing it doesn't really work on are oil/grease stains.... i have to pretreat those w/dawn before i wash them if i hope to get them out.

    I've been using my clothesline exclusinvely for 2 years. I don't really get stains on my clothes, but it does an AMAZING job of getting the "funk" out (my towels use to come out of the dryer clean but them semll msuty as soon as they got wet - no more).

    But now I dry the baby's clothes ont he line and I am SHOCKED at the stains that come out.  Her shirts get covered in all sorts of things at daycare (msotly food) and I swear they will never be clean again. They come out of the washer stained and off the line spotless. So yes, it does work :-)

    History of IF and 2.5 years TTC. The day we were to start our first IUI we received a call that changed our lives forever and 10 month old Olivia joined our family. Shortly thereafter we got a surprise BFP and baby 2 is due July 5, 2012

    This-I almost want to get her clothes dirty just to sun them.  I know <points to self> loser.

    Oh now I am strangely excited to try this out.  I am going to go find some of DH's stained shirts to try this out on.  Yes I too am a loser and strangely excited by this kind of thing :-).
