Speaking of BM and Formula...

We have started to supplement with formula for many reasons, but I was wondering how you have done it.  We are combining EBM with formula (1/2 and 1/2, about) so that we don't have to do 100% formula for a feeding.  I just prepare the formula and mix it with warmed EBM.  Anyone do it this way?

    Does your baby take it all?  If not, i would prepare two bottles, one with BM and the other with formula then I'd feed the BM first.  That's how I would do it.

    Yes, he's been taking it all lately... but that's a good thing to try in case, anyway!

    We started out doing it that way, but as DS approached 3 months and hit his 3 month growth spurt and started daycare...and everything else that started distracting him...he started to not always finish bottles.

     So now we do a bottle of bm first. Then we give him a bottle of formula. Now I dont cry over wasted bm, and he is a happy guy!
