Bad First Appt (Long Vent)
So I went for my first appt today for this pregnancy, and it definitely didn't turn out as planned.
Back story: Had a missed miscarriage in April, and had a few blood draws after to make sure HCG levels were decreasing. I went to the OB/GYN on June 1st for my annual, and she did a final blood draw to make sure my levels were back to normal. They were less than 2 which equals back to normal. I also had my period May 8 and it lasted about 5-6 days.
Now today: The doctor is stumped and confused. She said that it should have shown up in my bloodwork on the 1st. She is not sure whether I am in fact pregnant again, or if it was possibly a bad test last time when I got the draw on the 1st. So, I had to give blood today, and again on Saturday and Monday to see what is going on, and based on what kind of numbers come back we will go from there. She said to act/treat my body like I am pregnant, but doesn't want me to be too excited yet.
I'm so scared and upset and don't know what to think. I'm trying to stay strong and think positive but it's really really hard. I know none of you can do much.. but some good luck thoughts would be appreciated. Thanks for letting me vent.
