4 month wakeful period

This may have been asked, but how long does it last?  DD has been a good sleeper (i.e., 10-12 hrs) for weeks, however since Monday she has been waking up multiple times.  Part of it is that she has started rolling from back to front, but doesn't go front to back, so gets frustrated and cries when she's stuck on her stomach and some of it might be shots, but there's definitely some just random waking to eat.

  • I am sad to say that it can last a month. In our case it's been at least that. Sleep

  • It's different for everybody- but ours lasted 3 weeks or so.  We're just now getting back to better sleep (9pm-5am), eat, then hopefully down until 7am.

  • I am glad you asked this since ours seemed to start a week before the four-month mark...I am so tired! It doesn't help with this wakefulness coincides with me working more hours, so I haven't been able to take any naps with DS during the day...yawn....

  • I have no clue how long it lasts b/c we haven't gotten there yet... but man am I dreading it!  I feel like we just got through the 3 mo growth spurt and two back to back colds that have kept LO up all night w/ coughing/sneezing.  Ugh - it's always something isn't it!?

  • I'm totally going to jinx myself with this one, but we haven't experienced it *really* yet.  I have noticed that she's waking up more during the night, but she's not calling out for us.  I just hear her on the monitor tossing her head back and forth and moving her arms around.  She goes back to sleep, but I definitely hear it more now than I did before.

She's also gone from pretty much falling asleep on her own anywhere from 7-9 to being wide awake at 9.  We're having to put her to sleep awake or give another bottle to get her to go out.

  • It's been like, 3wks for us so far. But last night, she astually slept from 8pm til 6. AM. Like, IN THE MORNING. I actually woke up at 3:44 to make sure she was still breathing! But she was, and it was GLORIOUS.

I hope even if that was a fluke, it may be the end of the 4MW and we ca go back to only getting up 2x a night. That would be a dream right now.

I hope it's not long for you!
