Bed Bug Bumper FAIL! Bed on floor question

I put Isabel down for a nap in the sidecar and put the BBB under her sheet on her crib matress. She was asleep for 30m and I went in to check on her and she was laying in the middle of my bed playing with her lovey!

I never leave the floor when she's napping and check on her alot.

I am torn.

I posted recently that I feel like bedsharing might have to change because I am not getting enough sleep.  I don't feel like this is so much the issue as the not being able to leave her while she sleeps for fear she will crawl out of her sidecar like today.

Will putting our bed/sidecar on the floor really be safer? She could still crawl out and fall off right? Just not as far?

Re: Bed Bug Bumper FAIL! Bed on floor question

  • We didn't have a sidecar when my children were babies, but if I was not right next to them/wearing them when they were napping I would often place them on the floor with a blanket in a room and check on them often.

  • Yep, teach her how to climb off the bed (if not too high).

This... LO sleeps on a low futon and scoot right off and has been since 10 months or so.
