Sad News at Anatomy Scan

We went in this morning for our A/S and right away could see our little girl's heart was not beating.

It has been a horrible and emotional day and it will continue to be a long weekend. They are doing an amnio tomorrow to try and identify the cause and I will be induced on Saturday. They think she passed away about a week ago.

If anyone has experience delivering a baby at this stage, I would appreciate feedback on what to expect.

I am so, so, sorry! This is heartbreaking. I can't even imagine what you must be going through to lose your baby at this stage. I know that there are girls on the Miscarriage/PL board who have had this happen and will be good to talk to. You know that you're in all of our thoughts and prayers!

I am so incredibly sorry for your loss. I did not have a later loss, but many of the women on MC/PL & TTCAL (and even PgAL if you can handle being over there) have and may be of some comfort and support to you. T&PS with you during this horrible time.

This is so incredibly sad, I am so so sorry. A friend of ours lost their pregnancy today as well at 21 weeks-I do not have any experience but I am sure that Miscarriage/PL board will have a lot of advice. My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family.

I am very, very sorry for your loss. The same thing happened to me last year when I was 18 weeks and 4 days pregnant and it's very much like a nightmare that you can't wake up out of. I opted to have a D&E performed, because I couldn't bear the thought of being induced. I hope you get answers on why it happened. The was a big struggle for me- not getting any answers. Amnio showed nothing abnormal, all testings came back fine. Needless to say, I'm very paranoid this time around and pray about a million times a day that everything is going to be okay with this pregnancy.
