I need to make 2 appetizers that feed 20+ people each for a church event this weekend. Any ideas on something simple and inexpensive? I was thinking pinwheels for one.
This is going to sound weird, but honestly everyone who eats it loves it and it is the first thing to go when I do an appetizer spread.
Go to the deli and get them to thin slice pepperoni, the sandwich meat size kind. On half of each slice, smear cream cheese. Fold the other half over to make it a half circle.
bread bowls and spinach dip? crackers, grapes and cheese - always the first thing to go (ETA: esp in the Midwest, LOL) deviled eggs I've always wanted to make this olive tree chips and homemade salsa (I have an awesome recipe I can send you but it's on my personal blog so I'd have to PM it) Rachel Ray jalapeno poppers (not fried) cold quesadillas
ETA again: OH, forgot about meatballs!!!!!!! Crock pot. Go to Costco or Sam's or wherever and get tons of frozen meatballs. Throw in crockpot along with one can beer, 1-2 c ketchup, onions or onion powder, s/p, and some brown sugar. YUM! Serve from crockpot with toothpicks OR cut hot dog buns in half and make tiny meatball subs with cheese on top. Every time I make this, it goes in minutes. No cooking or baking involved!

I like cold veggie pizza-just a pilsbury precooked dough and bake and top with cream cheese mixed with dry ranch seasoning and then top with cold chopped veggies. Always a hit.

Ok...1) That olive tree looks awesome! I would love to make that sometime. It looks slightly more complicated than what I want for this weekend, but I'm keeping the link for sure! 2) Defintely PM me the salsa recipe! Yum! 3) Thanks for all the suggestions!

Seven layer taco dip, spinach/artichoke dip, buffalo chicken dip.
Can you tell I like dips?!?!
One long thin loaf of bread, sliced and very slightly toasted.
Mix one cup shredded parm cheese with one cup mayo.
Spread on bread slices, pop back into oven. Bake till melty then broil till brown and bubbly.
EVERYONE loves these!!
