Hey Ladies, we are moving to Lakeland from outside philadelphia and I am looking into possibly putting C in daycare part time...any recommendations? also, I will not know anyone when we arrive so i was hoping to get involved in some kind of playgroup or something....anyone know of any? TIA!
Re: Lakeland daycares/play groups
DD goes to Southside Learning Center and they are great. They have a great balance of education and play. DD does great there.
As far as playgroups, I'm not sure of any. But I would love to find some in the area as well, so I'll be on the look out.
Welcome to Florida!
I'm not sure what part of Lakeland you're moving to but if it's on the south side, there's a few that I'd recommend - Bright Imaginations on S. Florida, Lil Footsteps on S. Florida and if you're interested in a church program that is great (and very affordable) called Joyful Hearts.
Good luck!
Melissa
I would reccomend looking into the Small Wonders day care program on Lakeland Highlands Blvd, it is located in the back of the Church of the Nazeren. My husband and I looked at many daycares for our 7 week old and hands down found this to be the best as far as infant care and cost. You should also check out Bright Imagianations if your child is a bit older. Best of luck
We looked at several daycares prior to DS being born and we loved the daycare at the First United Methodist Church on Lake Morton and we put DS on the list in October and we are still waiting! Maybe by the time he is 1 he will get a spot. DS is starting Monday at Grace Lutheran so we will see how it goes. He loved it when he went Thursday to meet his teacher and the other kiddos in his class.
I don't know about any play groups either but if anyone else does, we would be interested! DS needs some buddies!
