Really irritated. I should have known.

DH was deployed to Iraq, came home May 16th. I was ovulating the 17th and voila--we concieved. But to IDIOTS that are literally questioning my faithfulness, this child couldn't be DHs because he's only been home 4w3d and I am 6w2d pregnant. Really? Really?! I see a paternity test in my future!! SOOOOO ANGRY!!!!!!!!

    People are idiots. But I also blame the medical community who decided to start counting pregnancy from the last menstrual period. How misleading, and completely inaccurate for so many women!

    Amen, sista! Ha ha. I have always thought that! He is home for good from Iraq. Leaves in September for a nine week training in Mississippi, I think. And then leaves again the first week in February (I'm due the 7th!) for seven months to Texas. It is going to totally suck. I may possibly get to go with him though, no idea yet!

    Just proof that people are idiots and don't understand how pregnancy works.  Don't give in to a having a paternity test done!  how ridiculous...

    When they say something just look at them like "Oh, Crap you figured it out!" and then say "please don't tell my husband, he's really bad at math and hasn't figured it out yet!!".

    Then you and your husband can laugh about it later.

    I'm sorry that people are reacting that way. Clearly, they don't understand the 'complicated' calculation. :) If it were me, I just wouldn't tell them I'm 6w2d or whatever and just say "oh I'm due in Feb 2012." :) Leave it at that. It's none of their business whether you're 4w, 5w or 6w or even 12 wks.

    I got pregnant on my honeymoon. I started my period on our wedding day (hmph), and we went on vacation a week later. I ovulate very early, and I got pregnant. There was a lot of speculation that I had either cheated on my husband or that we just got married because I was pregnant.  People are idiots.

    Emmasue, I just needed to say that I'm sorry about people being complete idiots. I don't know, but I'll guess that it's other "wives" saying this just to drag up drama. It wouldn't be the first or only time people in the military like to bring on the drama. It's like freaking high school around here. It makes me mad that they are treating you this way.

    Just know that you guys were super lucky to get PG so fast after deployment and they are jealous and stupid Wink Welcome home Mr.Emmasue! <3
