Activities for 2 yr olds in San Antonio

Posted on the SA board but I some of you southies would be helpful as well. We are heading to the JW Marriott for a family vacation Thursday through Sunday. Looking for indoor or other activities around that area in case the pool thing wears out on the boys. Thanks!

Re: Activities for 2 yr olds in San Antonio

  • San Antonio Zoo or Sea World? I have some friends with a 2.5 year old and a 10 month old and they went to both a few weeks ago and had a blast/

  • Not sure how close you will be to the Riverwalk area, but DD loves the children's museum in SA.
  • Kiddie Park!!! We took H there recently and she frickin' loved it. FIL used to take DH as a kid, and GMIL took FIL when he was a wee one as well. I honestly can't remember anything H has enjoyed that much. You can buy wristbands for unlimied rides for something like $12.
  • We went last summer and the Children's Museum was a big hit.  Megan liked the riverboat rides too (she was 2.5 then) I was surprised because she's not a sit still kinda kid but she loved being on the boat and looking around.  And then the zoo and Sea World, were big hits too :-)
  • The train at the zoo. DD#1 had just turned 2 and it was the highlight of her day.
  • You don't have to go to the zoo to ride the train in the park, so that is nice. We also like going to the botanical gardens. DS likes to run/walk around on all of the paths and there is a pond with ducks to feed. Plus we love eating at their cafe.

We will be going soon to SA too, sounds like we need to check out the Kiddie Park and Childrens Museum.
