I am about 5-6 weeks pregnant and my OB doesn't see patients till 8 weeks, does this seem normal?

    Very normal. Visits start at 8 weeks, and are every 4 weeks until something like 28 weeks. Then it's every other week. Once you hit 36 weeks, you'll see them each week until you deliver.

    Amy is totally right. Most Docs make you wait till at least 8 weeks unless you are high risk - which they would only know before hand. Monthly visits till 28 weeks then bi weekly until 35/36 then weekly - congrats!
