Spotting is normal, spotting is normal

in February 2012 Moms
spotting is normal. I keep telling myself this. I just went to the bathroom and had bright red blood and it was somewhat clotty. I called the nurse and I'm waiting for a call back. I'm trying not to freak out.

    I'm sorry! Fingers crossed that everything is fine!  Take a breath and relax.  Stress isn't good for the baby :( (easier said than done, I know). LOTS of T & P for you and LO.

    First of all, I am praying for you! Do not freak out yet but spotting is usually pink/brown and just when you wipe. If you have bright red blood and it's clotty and you need a liner, that is not spotting. If I were you, I would personally bypass the doctor and go right to the hospital. THIS IS JUST ME THOUGH. EVERYTHING COULD STILL BE FINE. There are a lot of women on here that bled and still had normal pregnancies. You called the doctor. That was the right thing to do. Lie down, drink water and monitor your bleeding. If it begins to become very heavy, you need to get to the hospital.

    BFP 5/27/13 EDD 2-5-14
    U/S 8/17 FRH-141 It's a boy!!

    The nurse called me back. I haven't had my prenatal appointment yet so I don't have a referral for an OB. She said if I want to be seen then I have to go to an ER because they don't have an OB just a NP. It's red and kind of clotty but only when I wipe. If it gets heavier or I start to feel crampy/pain I will go. I'm just going to stay calm and remind myself it's common.

    Hang in there sweetie! I am so sorry you're going through this. I had heavy bleeding with my son. (Literally down to my knees in jeans by the time we got to a hospital) and he's a crazy toddler now! :-) Keep us updated!!!

    It depends on your history.

     I have a history of a loss; so for me ANY pink/red spotting I will make sure I am seen by someone, and I have no qualms about going to the ER.

    I am so sorry you are going through this. Hope everything turns out fine. Hang in there! I will keep you in my thoughts. If you feel the need, please do not hesitate and go to the ER.

    This is my first pregnancy so I have no history as of right now. I'm trying to ride it out.
