Yogurt suggestions? And other foods

I love yogurt, and usually (before BFP) I would just stock up on yopliat light and sometimes Ciaboni (sp)... but Im worried about the fake sugar and sugar subs....

What yogurt do you eat thats healthy and doesnt have a lot of fake stuff? And on that note, whats your fav healthy snacks?

Re: Yogurt suggestions? And other foods

  • Trader Joes has a great Greek yogurt... strawberry, mango and honey were my favorites.

  • I love Chobani!!  Does it have artificial sweetners in it??  I guess I didn't realize that...  Probably going for an organic yogurt will be your best bet...I don't think aspartame is organic. Wink

  • I just try to avoid the "light" yogurts.  I prefer Andersen Erickson greek yogurt.  It's much creamier than most and there aren't chunks of fruit in it (I have texture issues!).  If you have a Whole Foods or Trader Joe's near you they have a great selection of yogurt and greek yogurt.

I've been trying to nosh on unsalted cashews, almonds, and walnuts for protein and healthy fats; lots of fruit; popcorn (not microwave); fiber enriched english muffins and bread; and cheese.

  • Plain Chobani low fat Greek yogurt... then toss in blueberries and raspberries... YUM! Totally natural and delicious.
  • Chobani is all natural - no artificial sweetners.  That is what I have been eating.  Have some non-fat peach for today :) YUMM!
  • I get plain Greek yogurt, then add cinnamon and fresh fruit to it myself. Sometimes a little honey, too. Delicious! Right now, my favorite snacks are fruit, almonds, whole grain blueberry waffles, carrots...

I do admit that I have a weakness for artificial sweeteners. I usually add Crystal Light to club soda, and I looove light yogurt. I recently lost 30 pounds, and I found that really helped. Im getting married in 5 weeks, so I cant really pack anything back on just yet, or else my dress won't fit!

That said, I can drink club soda plain. Replacing yogurt will be another story though... I loooove raspberries, so I guess I'll just start eating more of those in place of yogurt for a few more weeks!
