Does anyone else have a while before their 1st appointment?

So I couldn't get an appointment until July 1st, and the anticipation is killing me! I am sitting at work and it is all I can think about. So many women keep telling me the first trimester flies by, but it feels as slow as molasses to me! I want to get to my ob and make sure everything is okay with my little sweet pea!

Does anyone else have to wait a while for their first appointment? How are you keeping yourself sane? It is so hard for me!

My first appointment is July 1st as well. I also feel like time is going by super slow. I'm holding onto my sanity by a thread, we already told our family but we decided to wait to tell our friends till after the first doctors appointment and I just don't know if I will be able to wait that long. :-D

My first appointment is July 1st too. The wait is killing me- I just want to go and make sure everything is ok. The think I keep telling myself is that the longer I wait until my first appointment, the more I'll be able to see. That's what is getting me through the wait. When it is too early, there is less to see. Hope that helps!

My first appt hasn't even been scheduled yet! Ha! I have to get a referral so I'll go in this week for a prenatal appt, which is nothing, not even blood work, and then they'll refer me to an OB and I see when I can get in with them. Oh the military.

I understand how you are feeling. My appt is July 5th and I am about to go kookoo!! But I try to stay positive and I know everything is fine. It is all about being patient. It just feels so far away.

I'm a July 1st-er as well. The only reason time is going by relatively quickly is because I have a lot of stuff going on... work trip last week, work trip next week, then my in-laws come in for a visit.

I'm glad I'm not the only one! I just feel like if I were waiting for something else, it would be here and gone. We have decided to wait until the middle of July to announce it, which feels like it will be even longer of a wait!

I know it's totally worth it though

My appointment isn't until JULY 6TH!! I'm dying here! But everyone is right...I'll get to see a lot more at that time.

But time is kinda flying by already!

My first appointment is July 7th. I contacted the doctor's office to see if I could come in for a blood test to confirm, but they said it's not necessary. Seems weird to wait so long! We wanted to wait to tell people until after the first appointment, but I don't think we'll be able to keep it to ourselves for almost another month. My plan is to take a UPT once a week until the appointment just to keep convincing myself that it's really happening Smile

I'm July 6th, too. I was hoping it'd be sooner mostly because I have horrible doctor's office anxiety and tend to keep the looming appointment in the back of my mind until it gets over with. I hate everything about all kinds of doctors... this is gonna be an interesting experience for me.... hehe

I am June 27th... but I think only because I have to see the doctor 2 weeks after the first appt... and they wanted to get me in before my 10 day cruise to make sure everything is good to go for our trip...

My first appt is not until July 8th. They won't see me until I'm 8 weeks along. It feels like forever, but hopefully the time will pass quickly!!!

July 11th here! They want to wait until 10 - 11 wks, they said. Hopefully Ill have a midwife by then anyways, so.... I have a doc's appt the week after next for an unrelated thing, so it would be nice to be able to talk to the doc then anyways.

I won't have one until I am 12 weeks (end of July). My MW said there was pretty much no point since we won't be able to hear the heartbeat until then. She said we could meet earlier if I wanted to, but it would pretty much be her telling me that I looked good...and then us just sitting around and chatting. LOL

Of course my experience might be a little different since I am planning another homebirth and won't be getting an early u/s.

It is hard to wait...I don't really have any advice on how to make the wait easier. Just keep busy and try not to think about it too much.

I have to wait until July 29th, I'll be 11 weeks then, and yes the wait is killing me, but great points about waiting. The little one will be bigger then, and more to see!

My first scan is on Jun 29th. I'll be 7 wks, so hopefully we'll be able to see the Baby & the HB.

This is going to be the longest 16 days of my entire life!! UGH!!!!!

I am waiting- moreso because I'm going the less 'clinic' route with a midwife (I hope). I am starting at the hospital I work at but they have both OBs and midwives. I'm set for July 1st as well and we're having a blow-out 4th of July party too so the house will be packed (I'm planning on going between my patients!). I'm excited & nervous to not be checking into things earlier (d/t past m/c) but hoping things go smoothly.

My first appointment is not until July 7th! I am not sure I can't wait that long. I think about it all the time. Hopefully work will distract me during the day but at night that is all I think about. I am so excited.
