I posted Saturday morning that I wasn't feeling the love on these, but my tune has changed after this weekend.
I drove DD from PA to MA yesterday and popped back down to PA tonight. Used the Grovia all the way up. The first one leaked (but to be fair, it was on too long--I just couldn't find a good rest stop), but after that they worked like a charm.
Even though the disposable insert reminds me of a disposable, it seems to be--heftier is the best word I can come up with. After the first one it contained things nicely and we didn't have any further problems.
I'm still going to see how my usual CD stash and a larger wetbag works on another trip, but this is definitely going to be an option for our weekend trips this summer.
Re: Grovia summer package review
Except for the one that leaked, the other ones were OTB at least twice with no problems. The biosoakers cover a majority of the shells. HTH
I was going 2-2.5 hours with them, like I would do with CDs, with no problem. The first one was on for 3.5 hours (I know, I know) and that's the one that leaked.
I've been a Grovia user for several months now and I love them. I've had great luck with them during the day (with both biosoakers and cotton soakers), but don't use them at night. They hold stuff great when DS is up and about and in the carseat - he can go 3-4 hours easily. I have had issues with side leaks (pee only) at night, so I use fitteds with a cover then.
The only trick I found was that you have to make sure the gussets on the biosoakers are flared out around the legs (not folded in). Everybody else probably knows that, but I had to learn the hard way.Hi Colo!
And you answered all my questions anyway. I used sposies at night.
As for the size, you can fit a pack in a suitcase.
