It says it helps baby learn to sit up on there own.... i was jw if anyone had tried it and how old was ur baby when u did?? did it help any?

I tried putting him in it a week or so ago. He wasn't a huge fan. I'll have to try it again soon to see if he can sit up better in it now.

I just tried it yesterday, and he seemed to like it. He still needs to get a little better head control though.

which is basically the same thing. I haven't used it with dd yet (9 weeks) but I keep meaning to dig it out. I didn't use it with ds until he was like 3 months, but he didn't have nearly as good of head control as dd does. He really enjoyed sitting in it and it was great to have another spot to put him, another activity to do with him.

leah does ok with it. when she's tired she'll be a bit more floppy in it,but generally has pretty good neck strength.

I tried Beaker in it yesterday but her head control isn't good enough for it yet. We'll try again in a few weeks. I don't think it helped #2 learn to sit any earlier than if we hadn't had it, but it was nice to have a place to put him while #1 and I would play on the floor and he could feel like he was part of the action.

I have been using mine for about 3 weeks now and she loves it! She had a ver strong neck at birth and has been holding her head up on her own since about 1 week! It is a god send for a curious baby who wants to see everything!

I asked my doctor if we should get one (LO favors one side when lying on his back and is getting a flat spot...) and she said to wait until closer to 4 months before using it.

My pedi said the same thing. We put LO in it at around 8 weeks and she loved it, but when we asked our pedi about it she said we should wait until 4 months regardless of neck control.

We have a bumbo seat but she's not a fan yet... a couple more weeks and I think her head control will be strong enough to enjoy it Big Smile

We have tried it a few times for just a few minutes and she does okay but I am waiting until she is a bit older before really using it. I will probably wait until 4 months before letting her use it for an extended period...
