I posted on the Baby Names board the other day asking how people would pronounce Halle.  One response was:

Hal-ee. Rhymes with Happy.

    Oh dear. I have a confession: During the SAT practice test there was a ridiculously easy question- what rhymes with dog? There were a few answers that seemed totally wrong and the last choice was log. Log was clearly the right answer. Because I live in NJ and we pronounce dog dawg it took me a few seconds to wrap my head around log being the correct choice. It was a moment of pure dumb. ::head desk::

    Lol! I am a teacher and I hate when this rhyme comes up....I agree with you...doesn't rhyme at all! And I have a hard time saying those two words to make them rhyme! :)
