About how far back will a hair follicle drug test go?

    I think it's one month but I can't be sure.  It depends on the substance too.

    I thought the hair samples went back 6 months, depending on length of hair.

    You will need to ask a real lawyer or a lab tech.  :)

    If you're talking about weed then a hair follicle goes back 6 months. Just a normal urine drug test only goes back one month.

    However I know people who passed hair follicle tests by having their hair bleached...apparently it strips the hair and follicle. IDK. My friend's dad would bleach his hair then dye it back to his natural cover over that...guess that's why all his hair fell out! ha

    From what I was told the last time I had one, the test can date back up to 4 months. Well this was 2 years ago so it might have gotten better since then... lol. But as for the bleaching, it does work sometimes, but you have to go get the test done within a certain time frame.
