1. Woke up far too early thanks to a gassy LO. Had to bring her back to bed with me so I could try to sleep a little bit longer, but I don't really sleep with her in bed with me.
2. Went downstairs- but was stopped on the landing by a giant pile of cat vom. Didn't step in it, thankfully, but gross and ew. Lovely.
3. Told the kids to stay out of the kitchen while I was slicing apples for an apple crisp- and they came in. As I was yelling at them to scram, I sliced my thumb and middle finger open, and they bled heavily for being such small cuts. I know have 2 mickey band-aids on my left hand.
4. Found a large brown widow on the baby gate I was going to use to barricade the kitchen so the kids couldn't go in. I doused it in vinegar to kill it and when I inspected it- yup, sure was. Those things are deadly.
5. When I put the oats/flour/brown sugar in a blender, the brown sugar was hard as a rock and knocked the top off the blender... sending oats/flour/nutmeg/cinnamon/brown sugar rocks all over my kitchen.
I'm about to cry. I just need to. This may not be the worst day ever, but it's not going very nice- and all I was trying to do was to make a nice apple crisp!!
You know what would make me feel better? Buying THIS stroller. I won't do it, but MAN seeing that puppy in the back of my van would light up my year. I mean, it's just so happy. And it has candy on it! How can you be sad looking at it??

I'll hold you in my heart until I hold you in heaven.
Just dump it all together and call it a cobbler. And douse in ridiculous amounts of ice cream.
Tomorrow can only go up!!!
I'm sorry you're having a terrible, horrible, no-good, very bad day. Maybe you should go to Australia
I know it won't make you feel better, but to avoid such sugar incidents in the future, putting brown sugar in the 'fridge keeps it soft.
I might just do that, I LOVED Sydney!
You must be a cooking goddess. Please enlighten me with more baking secrets.
LOL, I wish I was a cooking goddess. I'm too tired to make scrambled eggs these days! If any more baking secrets come to mind I'll pass them on
