Vent - So rude!!

I went to get my nails done yesterday to the lady I regularly go to.  Now while I go there weekly, we are by no means friends.  While my nails were drying she stares at my stomach and says, "Are you pregnant?"  I haven't told many people the news but I'm too embarassed to admit that it's just my fat belly and really too early to be the baby.  So I say yes.  She then asks how far along.  Again, my embarassment causes me to add a few weeks so I say 3 months.  She then starts to laugh out loud, put her hands on my stomach (!!!!) and say, "Wow!  Already so big!"  To her credit, I've been very bloated and gained some weight.  But still.  Needsless to say, I won't be going back there ever again.  Angry

    Why do people think it's ok to assume that! I completely feel for you.

    Thursday I had gotten 12+ inches cut off my hair and posted a picture on facebook. An old friend of the family who I've know for my whole life send me an email and says "please don't take this the wrong way but I noticed that you're gaining a lot of weight or something else is going on?" Eluding to the fact I might be pregnant. I obviously don't have baby bump yet, I had just been gaining some weight. I didn't respond. Seriously, who does that!?!?!? Rude.

    OMG!  This is my fear!  I'm very tiny to begin with and now my clothes are a little snug and it looks as if I'm getting fat and we are not ready to tell people yet.  I think I might avoid avoid avoid until we start telling people.  Perhaps I will pick up some bagger shirts.  Good luck ladies!
