So last night DH and I go out for dinner...I order the crab cake salad and as soon as it gets set in front of my I panic wondering if I should even be eating crab! So I immediately grab my BB and search through TheBump looking to see if I should eat crab. I never really found anythIng that said crab specifically. Lots about raw sushi (my fave!) And shrimp and shark...but nothing about crab! Can anyone fill me in? Sorry I know its such a dumb question!! I ended up just nibbling on the crab cake and eating my entire lettuce salad. DH finished the rest of my crab cakes!

Re: crab cakes?!?
I'm from Maryland and would go crazy if I had to avoid crab/crab cakes! I read that it's okay (it doesn't contain a lot of mercury) and as long as it's heated thoroughly there's no need to worry about bacteria.
I wouldn't go eating them all day, every day but every once in a while is no problem
You can eat them - they don't have a lot of mercury. Just don't eat 12 pounds of them.
You can also each lunchmeat, pp. You can have it heated but seriously you can eat it. Again just don't eat pounds of it in a day
Everyone is different and if you don't fee comfortable then just avoid it.
