I'm part of the "baby showers are lame, but I'm obligated to have one" crowd. I tried to even convince my mom to have it at some off-the-wall place so it would be more fun, but she wasn't into it. So I'm thinking of organizing a little "girls' night out" for after the shower, sortof a "baby-ette party" lol Nothing formal, just going out for karaoke or a movie or something afterwards. Certainly not expecting anyone to treat me or anything. Has anyone done anything like this?
Re: Anyone having a shower "after-party"?
I havent heard of this idea, but I LOVE IT!
...my shower is going to be co-ed, and there will be alcohol there, so i have a feeling I'm not going to want to deal with anyone after for an "after party" and the drinkers might just go do their own thing. I wish something like this would work for my shower!
Sounds fun! I know exactly what you mean on the baby shower - we moved last month to my hometown, but I haven't lived here in 8 years, so I don't know that many people. My mom was in the same boat, but I had a lot of relatives bugging us about it, so we are just doing a small brunch shower at a restaurant. Much better for me.
