2nd trimester is awesome, IMO and childbirth and recovery don't last that long. The 1st trimester is so up in the air, with worrying and MS and the 3rd trimester is just so hard on you physically and emotionally.
I would want to take 2nd and childbirth but I don't think my DH could handle 1st and 3rd. He's not as strong as me
Wow. I'm clearly a first timer since I answered in the minority. I'm only at the beginning of the first tri and still feel great...childbirth seems so scary right now, so I just picked whichever option didn't include delivery! Glad to hear second is "awesome." What makes it so wonderful??

I picked 2nd tri & childbirth. From what I hear, 2nd is supposed to be the easiest trimester, and I wouldn't want to miss out on the experience of childbirth!
I LOVED the childbirth experience, I wouldn't trade that for the world!! 1st trimester, you can have it---my nerves are through the roof! I love third trimester, too. :-)

Ditto all of this. My first and third tri's with DS were miserable. Actually from about 23-30 weeks was my only enjoyable time! Childbirth isn't a walk in the park but it's over quickly. With recover you're on such an adrenaline high with your new baby it goes by quick.

During 2nd trimester you start to feel better usually emotionally and physically. You'll start to get that cute pregnant belly but not be completely uncomfortable. You'll finally feel your baby move, learn the sex, and just enjoy yourself. I love 2nd trimester.
Wow, you all just totally changed by POV. Ever since I was a little girl I've known I've really wanted children, but have been afraid of how painful it must be. Something must have scarred me back then! Anyways, I've never thought to approach it from the perspective of it being a unique and special not-to-be-missed experience. That makes so much sense! Thanks for the new perspective....

I'll take the whole pregnancy and L&D if DH could breastfeed for the next year. I thought all of that was a breeze compared to the commitment that is breastfeeding, pumping, etc.
