No time like the present to actually get cracking on my fabric projects, eh ladies? With 24 days to go, my Mom and I finally started sewing and when I add myself in that sentence, I really only mean my Mom. I think I'll take a crack at sewing the quilt squares, but when time isn't on your side, both my Mom and I realized that having her sew was really in our best interest.

We used this pattern and I'm in love with it!
Re: AW: PIP Ruffle Pillowcase
That is too cute!! I love the fabrics too -- envious of all you people who can sew. Or at least have folks in your family who can sew. My Nana would be very disapointed that this LO isn't getting anything handmade by folks in our family. She was the sewer
Can't wait to see your little boy's whole set up
Very cute! Is that a pillow case for a standard size bed pillow? Its hard to tell.
My mom is making our bed skirt and quilt and I may just send the pattern over to her if she has extra fabric!
Thanks ladies! I'm making a lap quilt and receiving blanket with the same fabrics!
Yup, it's a standard sized pillow case! Have her take a look at the pattern a little more closely. It tells you that you need 1/4 yard, 7/8 yard and 3/8 yard, but then has you cut down from there, so you actually need less than what's said at first glance!
Thanks for the insight! I just emailed it off to my mom
So cute! I was going to page you about this today. I'm glad you have your pillowcase done. I really love the fabric and the ruffle is too cute!
From this picture, I think you really look like your mom (except for the brown hair, of course).
Hopefully next week we can string together a few days and really crank out the quilt! It just felt so good to actually start last night.
Thank you! I really do. We have a different jaw line and nose, but otherwise we look really similar.
I keep debating doing 1-2 more projects, but don't want to get 1/2 way thru and run out of steam.
Those are really cute so that's not helping my debate

Hehe, I was telling my Mom that I really wanted to help with these ones because they're supposed to be relatively easy and I felt bad that once again I just picked out the projects and material. Her response, "Designers always get their names in spotlights, even though someone else does the work." She was trying to joke with me that I still get to take credit even if I don't do the work, but I really want to do the work this time!
