We just got back from our 12 month appt. For those of you interested in stats here's your fix:
Birth - Nanette: 4#14oz, 18in Maggie: 5#6oz, 18in
Discharge: N: 5#1oz, 18in M: 5#8oz, 18in
Newborn: N: 5#8oz, 18in M: 5#12oz, 19in
2 Months: N: 10#2oz, 21.5in M: 8#15oz, 21.75in
4 Months: N: 12#12oz, 23.5in M: 11#4oz, 23.25in
6 Months: N: 16#3oz, 24in M: 14#1oz, 24.25in
9 Months: N: 19#3oz, 27.25in M: 16#8oz, 26.25in
12 Months: N: 21#8oz, 28.75in M: 18#4oz, 28.75in
Both girls are healthy and growing right on track. The pedi was happy to hear that they were both drinking whole milk out of sippys - especially for Nanette who struggled with a milk protein allergy. She even said that we can scale back on the milk from 12-18oz per day to 8-12oz to encourage them to get their nutrients from a variety of foods. All in all, it was a great appt, and they even did great with the shots. It was DH's first shot visit though and I think he's traumatized!
Re: 12 month check up today!
Aww, your girls are like my DDs. My DD1 was 4lbs4oz at birth and was 21lbs11oz at 12 months. My DD2 was 4lbs1oz and was 18lbs11oz. They are too funny to look at now since my DD1 is probably a good 4-5lbs heavier and 2 inches or so taller.
Happy belated birthday to your girls!
My girls were 4.lbs 4 oz and 4 lbs. 12 oz when they were discharged (they both lost a full pound), and they were both just over 20 lbs at their 12 month. I remember the days of not being on the growth chart....amazing how far they've come!
