Dr. Browns bottles leaking

Our DB bottles have been leaking really bad the past dew days. Has this happened to anyone else? Solutions?

Re: Dr. Browns bottles leaking

  • are you filling it past the "max" line? It will always leak if you do or if the milk overtakes the end of the straw when tipped into baby's mouth.

  • We've had that happen once in a while.  I'm not sure what causes it, I actually bought a few new ones to see if we have the same problem and it doesn't happen with the new ones.

That used to happen if I tightened the cap too much.

  • Ours do too sometimes. I think it either is the nipple doesn't have a goodseal anymore (probably from repeated use and washing) or the lid isn't on right. Usually if I unscrew it and wipe up the leaks the tighten it again it is fine. Annoying, right?

    Thanks! It's super annoying.

  • We used to have that problem too.  It could be that the cap is sealed too tightly when you warm it up.  I looked up the issue on their website.  I believe it's under the FAQ section.  I don't think we've had the problem since we started loosening the cap a bit when it was warming.  I don't know for sure since I don't actually warm them up and am not there to see it!

  • Oh yes, if you warm it with the nipple, vent and straw in - you can get liquid flowing up the straw and out the vent when you tip it back over. I never heat it with the biz inside. Just with a travel cap on because of this.
