Share your "Pinterest" Creations

I know some EFFers have already poseted reviews of the Pinterest things they created this weekend, but I figured I'd start a thread where everyone could post.

I made these corn fritters for my BIL's 40th birthday party. They were a hit. I added more spices to them to give them more of a kick - I added ground red pepper *I think*. Here's mine:

I also made these produce bag from tshirts of mine. My sister sewed them for me and I did the rest (I can't sew, although I can't imagine this is rocket science). I left 3 at her house, but here are the 2 I brought home.

  • I don't have pictures, but I've made Singapore Noodles, Gnocci mac and cheese, and Garlic Parmesan Chicken and Noodles.  Later this week will be Grilled Chicken and Lemon Basil Pasta.

  • So for those bags - are they a pain to use at all (not being see through?)

I haven't used mine yet other than for taking the pictures; however, I could potentially see that the bags would be annoying with long thin produce, because it would get caught in the little holes (like asparagus?). In the white bag I had 2 plantains and in the purple bag I had 3 mangos.

You could also use the bags for non-food items. I think the tutorial shows them being used to hold flip flops at the beach (the sand can leak out of the bag) and even toys.

I measured the holes with a ruler, so they are about an inch long each. I am sure you could make them shorter/longer too.

  • Papa, my produce bags are not see through, and I just take the sticker off the produce and put it on the outside of the bag. Then I just tell the cashier where to look for them.

I made the gnocchi "mac" and cheese yesterday, and it was so freaking delicious. No pic, though.
