Anyone know what pot smells like?

I think my neighbors might be toking up. We were outside w/DS tonight & smelled this strange leafy-kind of smoke. It wasn't from cigarettes, so I'm guessing it was either a specialty cigar of some sort or the wacky stuff.

We have a tall privacy fence in back, and we've never had any contact w/these neighbors. If the smoking becomes a regular occurrence, I'm not sure how we'll handle it.

It's hard to really put into words- sometimes it could be sweet and other times it can be more resin like. Could it be a cigar??

Is it bothering you? Personally...I wouldn't be doing anything about it if it is outside. If it was in my house/apt building then I would say something.

Depends where its grown. Most people don't smoke weed outside incase people get a wiff and call the cops. So I'd guess cigar. Or cloves?

To me it smells like B.O. Our neighbors in High school smoked it, I hated the smell. I confirmed my suspicions about the issue when they asked me to house sit and I saw their pot plants in the basement window well!

This and I also kinda thought it always smelled like a mix of beer, incense and b.o personally. Haven't you ever been to a rock concert?

It could've been a hookah pipe? People buy all different flavors and smoke it. I would not call the cops even if you DO think it is pot though- unless you are willing to move. If they keep to themselves, I'd just do the same.

I also agree that it is likely not pot because people usually do not smoke it outside. This could invite a really embarrassing situation if you confront them.

This! I was a punk rocker in high school, so I smelled a lot of it at shows. I never partook, of course Wink

Do they own the home or rent? If they are renters I would definitely contact the landlord if it continues because likely that would be grounds to evict them.

I would let it go this time but if it persist then I would definitely say something if it is bothersome to you.

I always thought it smelled remarkably like skunk. Although it definitely depends on where it's grown, the strain, strength, method of smoking, etc.

Yes If it smells like ass, it's probably pot. Otherwise it could be clove cigarettes or cigar.
