What tools do you use to make it and for storage? We have a blender and an immersion blender, so I'm debating whether or not it's worth it to invest in a food processor or baby food maker.
I figure there would be more experience here than 3-6!
I just used a pot & steam basket to cook. I use a food processor to puree and scoop or pour into an ice cube tray. Once they freeze, I pop them out into a freezer bag and get out as much air as possible for storage. It's inexpensive and works great!

I bake pretty much everything, and then blend it in the Target knock-off of the magic bullet (but only because we randomly got it for Christmas a while ago, I'm sure a regular blender works too). Then spoon it into ice cube trays and seal it with saran (sp?) wrap. I pop those cubes out and store them in labeled freezer ziplocks.
I have a regular blender and hand blender and use both depending on how much I am pureeing. They work great. I just pour into ice cube trays and then put the cubes in plastic bags once frozen.
I've only done sweet potatoes so far (making carrots tonight), but I baked them then used my ommersion blender. I put them in regular ice cube trays and covered with saran wrap. Once frozen I put them in a freezer bag. I did have to use a knife to get them out of the ice cube trays though.

I just boil/bake/steam the food as I usually would and use a stick blender right in the pot (I usually keep some of the water so it purees smoother). I freeze it in ice cube trays because it keeps the portions nice and small. I pop them out and throw them in freezer bags and mark it with the date.

I steam of bake the food, them either puree in blender or with immersion blender, or sometimes I put it through the food mill for a smoother texture. Then I freeze in ice cube trays, pop them out later and store in freezer bags.
My friend is giving me a Beaba (sp?) baby cook thing that she doesn't use anymore, so I may start using that if it's easier.
I wouldn't waste your money/storage space on new products.
I've made squash & zucchini purees. Chop each veggies & add to pot filled with water. Bring to a boil then simmer for 20min. (You could also just steam them). Drain with small colander over bowl (want to keep the liquid). Use hand mixer to puree it while adding small amounts of liquid if needed. Spoon into ice cube tray & freeze for a few hours. Pop them out, put in ziplock, label and done.
Banana puree involved peeling banana & mashing with a fork.

This is exactly how I do it.

BRU sells a baby bullet blender that's only 25 bucks. I use that when I'm making a batch of something new in case he hates it, if I'm making a big batch I'll drag out the regular food processor! Other than that I use a pan with steamer top, and then freeze in ice cube trays, and put in ziploc bags.

I might try her steaming method, but boiling/simmering worked really well last night:
