When are you ordering or have you already ordered your nursery furniture? Just curious. I havent ordered mine yet, because we are house hunting and Id rather wait and have it delivered to the new home. But I dont want to wait too long either!
We ordered ours today. The place here known for good prices was having a sale and we knew what we wanted, so we ordered. We're also moving (end of August), so worst case scenario it will just be added to the stuff we have to move already. They said it would be 8-12 weeks.
I am going with my DH and mom on June 25th after my gender reveal party. I was hoping to have it arrive by mid August before I go back to school so I can start setting up the nursery. It usually takes 6-8 weeks to be delivered.

If you have an idea about what you want, ask the store how long it takes to get it-- some smaller boutiques take up to 4 months to have furniture delivered.

We ordered our crib a few weeks ago and picked it up at the beginning of the week. We are still deciding on a dresser but hope to have it decided on in the next month or so. and my uncle is building us a storage unit as a shower gift... we will be giving him measurements in June. The last few babes in my family have come very early or moms have been on bedrest for the last few months so I want to have the nursery set up ASAP.
I know I will wait until at least 20 weeks. After that I'm debating if I want to wait until after the baby room is painted (dont need to store it anywhere while room is being painted) or if I want to use the furniture to help me get inspired for a room paint.
I'm not worrying about it for a while. We will probably go to Ikea or someplace in September/October. We already have a dresser for the baby clothes and we won't need a crib for the first few months anyways.
I'll probably order it after we finally clean out the guest room/future nursery. No sense getting it and then having to move out a full size bed and steaming the carpets. Besides, like others have said, we'll probably borrow a bassinet off of a friend of mine, so it's not like the baby will need the crib Day 1 anyway.
"I know not all that may be coming, but be it what it will, I'll go to it laughing."
I really dont know about us. My parents saw a set on Target.com and wanted to order from there. I am not sure how long their shipping process is. I am assuming just a few weeks max.
The safety standards for cribs change on June 28 and as of June 28 it will be illegal to sell cribs that don't meet the new standards, so we will likely wait until after that date. If you buy a crib before then you will want to call the manufacturer and ask if your crib meets the new standards (some do).

Back in the USA...for now...
We got DD's crib from BRU and it only took a week or two for it to come in. It ended up sitting in our basement (boxed) for months.
I would only order it soon if you are getting it from a smaller store. The big box stores can get them in pretty fast.
