So I just looked at swap spot for the first time - I don't get it. People will keep mailing out coupons and paying for the stamps out of the goodness of their heart? Doesn't that get costly?
I know I sent out a ton of coupons a few weeks back and ended up paying a few bucks because I felt the need to send at least 1 coupon to every person that responded. And I didn't get anything in return. I didn't ask...and it didn't really matter...but if I constantly did that it wouldn't make sense.
How does it all work? (excuse my ignorance PLEASE)
Re: **SweetHurricane or BrittDay** Or Mishu ;)
I mentioned in my other post that you can usually trade it for something else. I trade for shutterfly codes but you can ask for starbucks, a certain coupon, pampers GTG codes, BRU coupons, etc. Anything or you can do MAO= Make an Offer and see what people have to offer.
Do you do GTG? I was thinking of starting this because Pampers are all we use (diapers and wipes) and I haven't signed up.
I think thats just what the person wants instead of what they have they rather have a Giftcard to target.
Yes I definitely do it. I only have 900 points but hey eventually I'll get to 6000 to get the radio flyer lol. Not in a hurry since LO can't use it until a few years from now haha
Make a post when you're ready to do it and we will post all of the free codes but the sooner you get it started, the better because most of the free codes expire sooner or later.
This but I don't really ask for face value in giftcards bc I get the formula checks free and I don't feel right doing that. Most people just give me their shutterfly codes they got from signing up for Similac Moms lol I'll get one code for about $15 worth of checks... which is about face value for a photobook that size. I love scrapbooking and sending stuff with LO for family so this works out great.
LOL better hurry I think the program ends dec.2012
Not really, not the ones that come with the product. Pampers gets generous sometimes for marketing reasons and give out free codes with an expiration date. You can also get 100 points for signing up. If someone refers you, they can get a credit of points too. Just get it... seriously I just paste my codes on LO's changing table wall lol, and then when they accumulate, I enter them.
Wow...A sign of the times I guess.... I will redeem whatever I have by then I guess. Did you mean Dec 2011 or 2012?
I have seen ones that say ending Dec 2012
I am late to the post, but my main reason for using Swap Spot is to get Similac checks. When I get the Sunday paper, I clip coupons that I don't need that I think others will. For example, tomorrow's paper will have one for Pampers Swaddlers/Cruisers/EP. We use Baby Dry, so I will clip that and trade it for something I can use. I don't usually trade low $ coupons for low $ because like you said, it's a waste of postage. People will usually ask for several coupons I have in exchange for a $5 Similac check or something similar.
I would definitely sign up for Pampers GTG if I were you. I signed up when I was pregnant and have been entering codes since then. I just redeemed 1100 pts for a $10 Starbucks gift card. "Like" Pampers on Facebook - they post codes there a lot on holidays. Here is a list of current codes:
