Invitations

I'm supposed to have my shower on June 25 but the hostess still has not sent out invitations. She wanted a list of addresses from me several weeks ago and I sent them to her and never heard a response from her.

I haven't said anything to her yet, but do you think I should? I just hope people can come if they get a last minute invitation.

If the shower is not a surprise, then I don't see why you can't politely ask if the invituations went out yet. Say your MIL or someone else has asked about it because they didn't receive it yet.

You should have asked your hostess by now what's up. You've done your part of getting her the addresses. She should have been on top of her part of getting those invitations out by now! Better talk to her ASAP and ask her to get those invites out early next week. You don't want people to not show up because they didn't receive an invite with enough time to make plans. I don't know why some hostesses wait until the last minute. It's kinda rude IMO.
