XP: IUI ladies please come in!

I posted this on Pregnant after IF, but figured it applied to both so I XP'd it!

I'm a regular on TTGP and since I just started my road on fertility treatments I started posting on IF/T-TTC, however I think my question is more relevant here, so I hope you ladies don't mind that I post here with a question.

I just started my treatments a few days ago, I am on Follistim 125IU a day, the plan is to trigger with Ovidrel when I get to that point and use progesterone suppositories as well.  My RE mentioned that if I overstimulate we will have to cancel the cycle.  However, at the time, I didn't think to ask what he considers too many follicles.  He said he is looking for 2 hopefully, but didn't say what was the cap.

I was curious of the girls who were on injectables.  What medication were you on? How many follicles did you have when you did either IUI or TI and how many did you end up conceiving with?

    I have the same plan as you ( iui #4) but i'm on 75iu a day. We will re-evaluate the cycle at 5 follicles, but cancel at 6. 

    With clomid I would always have 3 follies. I think that's why i'm on the lower dose of follistim. But who knows what'll happen with this follistim...u/s on monday. Good luck!

    i did clomid with IUI.  I got pg with one follie the first time - had Griffin... so we knew that any follies that were there could = babies, and were not going to go through with IUI if we had more than 2 at any cycle.  We got pg with the twins with 2 follies.

    i'm not sure of your history - but do consider any # of follies could = babies... and the risks of high order multiples is quite real.... and making the choice of selective reduction is simply horrible for any woman- esp after dealing with IF... so do take it seriously if you have multiple follies - know what YOU are comfortable with.... not just what the doc is OK with.  I have seen quite a few triplet+ moms on the multiples board who were told that they wouldn't end up with multiples... it happens.
