I have an ultrasound on monday, i'll be almost 13 weeks. Is it possible to see the sex of the baby then?
I will also have one at 15 weeks and the dr said she will tell us then, but is there a chance we could find out this early? I know the sex organs are developed at 12 weeks.

Re: Is it possible to see sex of the baby this early!
More than likely not. Sex organs are developed but they look almost the same. Here is a link to show what they look like at that stage...

So maybe if the baby is at the right angle you will be able to tell the "angle of the dangle" but they all still look like boys at that point.
OUr first pregnancy we had an early ultrasound done at 15 weeks due to spotting. It was internal. They were able to tell us that the baby was a boy and we got our famous picture! Good luck!
Most of the time, they wait until around 20 weeks. I only had an early US and one the day before he was born last time.
I don't plan on finding out this time either. From what I hear from other ppl though, with OB, you get USs all the time at the end. I didn't have them the first time (MW) and I don't really want them this time...just one to see that the baby is okay in a few weeks at my appt. will be fine...in another few months, babe will be moving around and that's good for me.

YES IT IS! My OB found out DS was a boy when he was 13 weeks, 2 days

For my daughter, they started looking at 16wks, but it was hard to tell at that point. I get an ultrasound every month (very short though, and I know this isn't the usual. My doctor's office actually bought all of their machines, so they have them in all of the offices. Downside, they are older versions, not as clear as some of the newer ones out there) Basically from 16w on, they will try to determine the sex if you want. My daughter was very uncooperative though, and we didn't get a definitive answer from them until almost 3rd tri. In the end, we went around 21wks and had a 4d ultrasound elsewhere, and they were able to tell us it was a girl. (Plus, the 4d was AWESOME).
Long story short, probably won't get a 100% positive answer just yet, and it may take a little longer than you expect. So hang in there :-) You'll find out soon!

Thanks everyone.
I am sure we will find out soon, i'm impatient, haha. wanna start putting the baby room together, and certain colors won't work for either boy or girl.
Even if the dr tells us on monday, i dont know if i would fully believe it. she said on the 15th week ultrasound she can tell us.
