I had a question for anyone who has a DC that either cannot see at all, or sees very little.
My middle baby, Ayva, has CVI and it is pretty much like she is blind at this point (other than lighted, moving objects). Lately, she has been having trouble sleeping in her crib. I am wondering if maybe she wakes up and gets scared b/c she can't see and feels alone??? She sleeps great when she is in the bed with me- but wakes up constantly when she is in her own bed. Does anyone else's visually impaired child get scared when you are not around and can't see/find you? Or does anyone have any ideas as to why she cries in her bed so much. (oh, and it's not like a "I don't want to be in my bed anymore come and get me" cry it's a freaking out, screaming bloody murder cry.) I am just so sad to think that she is crying b/c she thinks I've left her and she is all alone
thanks!
