I got my trigger shot this morning at 11:30 and stopped by the dollar store and picked up a few tests, ran some errands and got home around 3. I couldn't help but test I'm so curious. Of course it was positive. My first ever positive. Even though it's fake, and really really light, it's still pretty damn cool

So when can I get a real BFP? When will the trigger be out of my system? Should I test it out to be positive it's not the trigger or should I just wait until I miss my period? Thanks ladies for any info you have!

Re: Testing out the trigger...
haha, I will be testing out my trigger too. I just want to see those 2 damn lines!
I have no idea how long it takes for the trigger to leave your system. I want to say by 7 or 8 days it's gone though. I will for sure be testing along the way and not waiting for AF to show, but I'm a POAS addict like that.
I hope you get your real BFP soon!
OK, You guys got me to thinking after reading this. LOL! All these cycles I've done, I've never tested after the trigger... So I just had to try it, it was 2 lines (first time I've ever seen that, and yeah it was really cool to see).. But I triggered on May 31st so it's definitely not out of my system..... Not that I'd complain if it truly was a BFP!!!

Everyone's systems break down hCG at a different rate, so if you want to be sure it's gone, you should test it out. Mine typically are still there 10 days past trigger.

Hope it's ok that I respond to this. OP had PAIFW in her siggy so I think it's ok.
I'm a slow trigger metabolizer so even though I took a 5,000 i.u trigger, I still had some residual trigger 10-11 DPT. Half life of the trigger is ~29 hours so it actually also depends on the sensitivity of the tests you're using.
This past month (when I got my BFP) I tested my trigger and it went very light/non-existent 10 DPT (second test from the top) and then started to come back. I couldn't find any good pictures of triggers that became BFPs so I took pictures of mine if you're interested.
