FFFC - Let's hear 'em!

Mine is that I judged. I judged big time!

We went to Gymboree last night - my first time in a while as it's something DH usually does with M.

Well, there was this new little girl there and her mom pretty much ignored her. Dad wasn't there to take up the slack, it was just Mom chatting to other mom's while little girl ran around. Yeah they're toddlers and it's a pretty safe place, but come on! The little girl kept falling off the balance beam and others would catch her while Mom was on the other side of the room. WTF?

  • That judgment is fully justified!  Totally not flame-worthy. Wink

Here's mine: I YELLED at Aaron today when he was having a meltdown and I was trying to get some work done. He was crying and screaming (honestly for no apparent reason) and I yelled loudly: "Aaron, shut up!"

Of course I felt guilty immediately after and soothed him. But I yelled.

  • I feed my 19 month old boy baby food and purees because I get tired of the fight and it's easier to just shovel some stuff into his mouth rather than sit there forever and watch him goof around/not eat.

I have no patience any more.

  • Totally not flameworthy, H!  and Robyn, I totally screeched at Margaux the other night when she was having her bath.

She was pouring cups of water out of the tub, over and over again, and ignored me when I said no... and when I took the cups away she started using her other toys to splash water out.  Finally I just SCREAMED, I didn't even say anything.  She got very quiet and looked at me like I was nuts.  I felt so bad, and apologized.  The worst bit is she stopped dumping water out and hasn't done it since, and even though I feel awful and guilty, I am also secretly pleased that it seems to have worked.

  • I have two today:

    1) I feed Sarah whereever she will eat something, whether that's at the dining room table, in the bathtub (a current favorite) or in her room while playing. I can't take the protests when I try to put her in her booster chair and she just wants to play.

    2) I am so tired of her not napping. She is still refusing to nap and has climbed out of the crib several times already. I don't know what to do and it is stressing me out so much.

  • Late to the party (I'm busy getting ready for LO's christening party), but I'll go.  Maybe it isn't a FFC, maybe more like an unpopular opinion but: the Sophie the Giraffe teething toy reminds me of one of my dog's toys.  When I see it at BBB, I make fun of it to MH...yet I still want to get one for my LO.
