DH and I really love the name Erin if our new LO is a girl, but we're having trouble picking a middle name. I like Erin Kate, but DH says he wants a longer middle name. He like Colleen, but I'm not crazy about the way Erin Colleen sounds together. Any suggestions?
Re: Middle names for Erin
I'd stay away from something overwhelmingly Irish, personally, as it can sound a bit precious (particularly if you have an Irish last name).
I have a friend who is Erin Jacqueline and I think that's really pretty. Thanks! I'll make those suggestions to my husband.
In terms of Irish names, we do have an Irish last name and DH and I are both very Irish with very Irish names. Our son's name is Liam Patrick, so Erin with an Irish middle name would fit right in with the rest of the family.
I like Erin Colleen. I also like:::
Erin Genevieve
Erin Madeline
Erin Ruth
Erin Lucille
Erin Joy
Erin Susannah
Erin Aurora
Erin Aislinn
I am Erin Veronica & LOVE my name.
The only other one I have is Erin Christine/Christina. I keep trying to pair it and come back to my own name...sorry!

I think Erin Colleen sounds just fine...very Irish.
On a side note- my MN is Erin and my sister's name is Colleen.
erin kate is okay if your last name is long. erin colleen is okay, too, i just don't LOVE colleen.
Erin Colleen doesn't sound right to me because they both end with the "n" sound...so neither does Erin Catherine, imo. I can't however, come up with many suggestions just this moment, sorry!

I think this is why I wasn't crazy about Erin Colleen. I like the name Colleen, just not paired with Erin.
Hmmm...Erin Veronica...I kind of dig it!
I tried to go with the Irish thing, and I think that it's so nice that your children's names will have that in common. I love the name Erin, by the way.

My first name is Erin, and my parents were pretty boring with my MN...it's Ann. I think a PP mentioned Erin Kathleen. That might be a nice variation on Erin Kate. I know an Erin Alicia and an Erin Christina, too.
My cousin is Erin Elizabeth. i think it flows well!
I grew up Erin Elizabeth - before I got married and moved my maiden name to my middle name. :-)
