  • the boys have never had Pirate Booty. Saw an ad for it last night and had this realiztion. I know for a lot of kids its a staple

I really , really hate DVDs that dont let you skip directly to the play menu. If I wanted to watch the hours of previews before the Thomas movie I would have gotten the VHS since its cheaper!

  • I'm totally annoyed the my manager has finally hired an extra morning person to help with breakfast set up. Mostly because he promised he'd bring in this extra person while I was still pregnant to help me out, but never made an effort to hire someone.

Additionally, I told them that I didn't want to work overnight after I came back from mat leave, which was countered with 'you have to take that shift, or i cant work you full time on another shift' and now that I've put in my notice to quit, my manager wants to give me whatever shift I want to try to get me to stay. Too little too late.

  • DD stayed at my parent's last night since they are driving her over for camping today. (I have to work all day and so does DH, so it's easier).  It was so wonderful to not have to get her ready this morning.  She STTN, but still the stress of not having to deal with her this morning was amazing.  However, I did stop at my parents on the way in, just to see her! :)

For some reason it drives me insane if the beer/soda/water bottles are not lined exactly in order in our fridge.  DH and I get in fights over this.  I know it's not worth it to fight over, but it drives me batty and I can't let go of it.

  • Ella and I don't have a car this week. I have not been able to go to the grocery store. We had a BBQ last weekend. This was my diet yesterday: ice cream, pumpkin bread, 2 hot dogs, 1/2 bag of chips ( don't worry, I ate the other half the day before!), more ice cream and a prenatal vitamin! Although I did enjoy eating all of that junk, I can't wait for dh to get home today so I can go grocery shopping!!!

  • my mom has a key to our house and this bothers my husband because she has no boundries.  On Wed I got a call that she brought my cousin over (he is a contractor) to fix the toilets that just ran and ran all the time.  He also put the mirror up in the bathroom that my hubby took down when our bathroom sink was leaking.  Needless to say my husband was mad because she didn't call first.  I was slightly embarassed because our house is a disaster, but I am happy because the sh** needed to be done a long time ago.  My dh works a ton of hours but when he is not working weekends he plays ball so nothing gets done.

Also this pregnancy I have been having crazy dreams, I dreamed last night I was back in highschool, pregnant kissing a super hot guy.  Not a bad way to wake up :)

  • It annoys me when people who should know better refer to pregnant women as "having a baby in their belly/stomach."  I understand little kids saying that the baby is in your belly/stomach but after one has been through puberty and/or taken health classes in school, I think the reference to a baby in a woman's belly/stomach needs to stop.  When discussing my pregnancy with my 6 month old, I refer to him being in utero, he doesn't understand it yet, but he will some day Smile

I noticed on "16 & Pregnant" the kids on there are constantly referring to having a baby in belly - if they're going to have sex, they should have a basic understanding of anatomy.

  • Mine is more of a vent, I guess.

Why is there zero respect for the presidential office these days?  I guess that's a generalization, but that's how it seems to me.  I mean, believe me, I'm as conservative as they come, but I hate getting "joke" emails about the president.  I didn't vote for him, but he is our president, so have some respect people.  Vote according to your values and beliefs, but if your guy (or girl) doesn't get elected, hope and pray that the person that does makes good decisions for our country and then vote again next time you are able.

I (obviously) got one of those "joke" sort of emails today.

    I couldn't agree more!

    My FFFCs...

I've lost 23 lbs and am slimmer than I was when I got pregnant with T and I still feel like a cow! It's annoying, but now I'm too the point where I just don't want to put in the effort to tone up or lose more.

I'm lonely. Flat out. It makes me angry and I don't know what to do to fix it.  H is working a TON of OT lately, so it's just me and T just like it was when we lived in Mville.  But now I am over 300 miles away from friends.  I get mad at him because he's the reason I feel this way, but I really shouldn't because we need the money and I knew going into this he would be working a lot of OT.

    I feel invisible to everyone.

I'm so sorry, N. I wish I was there and could give you a big hug. I had a feeling adjusting to moving away would be tough at first, and I was worried you might feel lonely. All I can say is give it time and you will find your way (easy for me to say, right?). You are outgoing and a good friend so I know you will find people over there to spend time with. I'm always here for support.

  • At least once I day I will say that "I've got babies in my belly", or a "belly full of baby"  =P

We kept H up late last night to go out to late night happy hour at applebees, where we let him eat fried and mozz sticks for dinner, and beforehand we took him to walmart and got him a new Mack Truck toy.   Hes only going to be an only child for a little while longer and I think we need to spoil the crap out of him before his life gets turned upside down.

Another Holden one,  I think he may be the friendliest kid ever!   He says "Hi" and "Bye friend" to every single kid we see out and about, even if they completely ignore him he will keep trying to strike up a conversation.   Its not just with kids either, he will ask adults how theyre doing, and offer them his toys, it is so sweet to watch.    Since no other kids have ever come up to, and started talking to Holden or us out of nowhere, I'm guessing its not common to be this friendly.  We must be doing something right with him =)    (I guess that was more of a brag, than a confession...)

  • I haven't complained during my entire pregnancy and have continued to do the same amount of work - 2 jobs, 2 teens, I haven't slowed down, if anything I've been out to prove that being "older" and pregnant is NOT a problem.

Lately it's been really hard physically to keep up the pace but I have a very hard time speaking up.  Last night we spent an hour at L&D for monitoring, baby's been VERY quiet for 2 days (he put on a show for the hour we were there...everything's jsut fine).  When we left there, my DH said "maybe we need a Plan B for the next couple of car shows..." and while I really wanted to say "no - it's ok, I can do it" I agreed with him.

I've never slacked on what I consider my responsibilities.  But I might just take advantage of this opportunity...

    Hell yes woman!

    Mine....

Grady had a Krispy Kreme donut for breakfast in honor of FREE DONUT DAY. We all did.

Ever since we took the house off the market (where we'd been saving $$ for moving costs for months) we have been spending some fun money out of savings. CC got paid off, but we took a long trip to Portland, bought some art there, enrollment fee for new school, summer clothes for G, just bought a brand new wii off a coworker (who won it and didn't need it, great deal but still) ...must.stop.spending.but.so.much.fun.

  • 1)I will not vote for peoples kids in cutest kid contests. It's a popularity contest that the kid doesn't even know they are a part of yet.

    2) I don't get people that constantly complain about their partner and never have anything nice to say. Venting to friends on occasion is fine, but if he's really that awful and you hate everything about him, leave or work it out.

  • I take a shower every day and I don't understand when people say they never get to shower now that they have kids. I have two kids and I manage it. • DH's sister is coming in from AZ today due to his father hospital stay. She is bringing her youngest child with her who is just under 1 year old. Whenever she visits there is a certin leval of drama. She sends up a "list" of things she needs to borrow. Her list for her child that she needs to have (she wants to borrow). Is a baby moniter, bibs, bottles or sippys, utensels, stroller, car seat, pack and play, some toys and then it said .... and more to come.  We tell her have some of those things and we tell her what we have she says "well what kind if stroller is it" or "what kind of car seat do you have".  I want to scream "one that we are letting you borrow so stop being a *** about it".  I am pissed that she can't even pack her own bibs. Serisouly how much room will 5 bibs take up in a suit case.

I am keeping this to myself as to not upset DH more about his Dad's thing. I told him I would do whatever we need to do to help get ready for his sister's visit. But she does this ever time she visits and no one will tell her to pack her own crap for her own kid.

Is other trips she even sends a "grocery list" of things she wants her Mother to have already purchased for her visit so they don't have to go shopping.

I told DH yesterday "does she want us to get her diapers or wipes too?"

The main reason I am excited for nice weather on it's way is because I have SO MANY cute girl clothes to dress my daughter in. I've been collecting them since I was pregnant with Jackson and I believe she has a different outfit for every single sunny day this summer.
  • Thank god the weather is nice and I can open windows because my house smells like sh!t.  Literally sh!t Yes all my posts today will be about my child's poops.

And I forgot to quote but I agree with the whole baby contest thing.  I hate them!  And refuse to vote in them.

I would suddenly become very unavailable to communicate with her until she arrived. Then she can make do or go shopping.

  • I cannot be held responsible for my actions the next time a stranger asks me if N has ADD.  A sales dude at REI asked because he was excited about the climbing rock and wanted to see it from different spots in the store, including upstairs.  How is it ADD to be curious about something new? He?s two. He has a lot of energy. He was not misbehaving or being disruptive, so STFU dude.

On the flip side of asking family you?re visiting to have certain things on hand, I?m still annoyed at my parents for not grocery shopping before we visited.  Twice they asked me what to have on hand for N. I asked for some milk and a few of his favorite snacks.  There was diet pepsi, bottled frappucinnos, and grapefruit juice in their fridge when we arrived.  No big deal to go to the store but it?s not top on my list of things to do after being up since 4am and flying across country with a very active toddler.

  • I have to FULLY agree with Zazzu & MOHJen. I absolutely hate when my friends send me hundreds of fb messages, e-mails and texts to vote for their kids in those stupid cute baby contests. I will not vote for your kid, it is ridiculous and the more you text me "reminding me to vote" the closer I get to losing it. The one from Movin 92.5 that is going on right now might push me over the edge. I got a "reminder" text the other night at 11pm! WTF?!

  • I'm embarrassed to admit but I'm disappointed in the lack of enthusiasm that we've received from our families as we announce this pregnancy.  I don't know if it's because it's the 2nd PG or because we've been trying for so long that they just think "it's about time" but I expected a lot more encouragement, interest, and excitement, I guess.

Ha!  I'm gross.  I don't always take a shower every day.  But I never claim that it's the fault of having kids.  It's because I'm too lazy to get off my @ss and/or pull myself away from the TV during nap time.  I'm telling myself that with nicer weather it'll be easier to get off my butt because I'll want to get out and do stuff.

I'm with you.  I think little bows or headbands are cute.  But I can't deal with bows that are as big (or bigger!) than the baby's head.  It's a child, not a present.

I HATE big diesel trucks. My husband drives a big ish truck, (non diesel) and I remember thinking how hot it was when we were younger... I dont mind it now mostly cause its paid for... but if it were loud and obnixious I would make him get rid of it, at least as a daily driver. EVERY male on my DH's side of the family, including my SIL's bf have huge LOUD lifted diesel... Its embarassing when we all get together at my house or my IL's cause I feel like I am at a redneck wedding or something.
